Soya Noodle With Brussel Sprout Greens & Poached Duck Eggs

20150110_181957All the veggies survived the first hard freeze of winter under row cover. Since brassicas are so delicious after a hard cold I decided to make a soya broth and cook some of the brussel sprout leaves. I also happened to take delivery of a dozen fresh duck eggs from my friend John V. so I poached those up too. What a pleasure a simple broth and noodle soup was tonight.20150110_182101 I’m trying to come up with dishes that my Dad can eat now that he has been put on a very strict diet after years of stomach difficulty. Night before last, I went to the Artner’s monthly dinner night and before I left I made Dad some black bean dip. This will be an adventure in cooking, as his diet is very limited, but I’m up to the challenge. Here is some food porn based on tonight’s meal. Enjoy!
